Basketball Recap: Southland College Prep Comes Up Short

Southland College Prep played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors, falling 84-22. Southland College Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karla Thomas led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Thomas' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Morgan, who posted 21 points and five boards.

Southland College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
