Football Recap: Pensacola Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Pensacola unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Pine Forest Eagles and fell 29-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Eagles are ranked 100th).

Pensacola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cameron Hamilton Jr.. Pensacola got some further help from Noah Jones: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Coming up, Pensacola will challenge Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Forest, they will square off against Daphne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
