Softball Recap: Enterprise Has No Trouble Against West Lincoln

Enterprise hadn't done well against West Lincoln recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Enterprise Yellowjackets put the hurt on the West Lincoln Bears with a sharp 15-8 victory. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 7-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Miranda Anderson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Anderson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Enterprise let Piper Martin and Zoey Dean loose on the outfield. Martin scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Dean scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Caitlin Case was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Enterprise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Lincoln only hit seven hits.

Enterprise now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will welcome Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Lincoln, they will take on Wesson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
