Lufkin waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Marshall Mavericks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Lufkin pushed their record up to 22-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.

As of now, neither Lufkin nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
