Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kaiden Hawkins and Logan Hurdle Lead Person to Victory + How To Watch

After losing to Roxboro Community the last time they met, Person decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rockets put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Person walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-20, 25-21.

Leading Person to victory were Logan Hurdle and Kaiden Hawkins. Hurdle had 11 digs and two aces, while Hawkins had six assists and five digs. What's more, Hurdle posted two assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Person was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Person now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Person will square off against Carrboro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roxboro Community, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against NCSSM: Durham on the 18th.
