Soccer Game Preview: Blazer vs. Fleming County

The Blazer Tomcats will venture away from home to take on the Fleming County Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fleming County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Blazer, who comes in off a win.

Blazer will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Thursday, then bounced right back against Rowan County on Tuesday. The Tomcats were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Vikings. Blazer haven't had any issues with Rowan County recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Fleming County's offense. They came up short against Russell on Wednesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Fleming County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Russell are ranked 34th).

Blazer's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fleming County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
