Basketball Recap: Clarke County Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After losing to Rappahannock County the last time they met, Clarke County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Clarke County Eagles walked away with a 50-43 victory over Rappahannock County on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tanner Sipe was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Isaac Nei, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Clarke County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Clarke County's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Rappahannock County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
