Basketball Game Preview: Charlotte Christian Knights vs. Ravenscroft Ravens

Charlotte Christian hasn't had much luck against Ravenscroft recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Charlotte Christian Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Ravenscroft Ravens at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Two weeks ago, Charlotte Christian came up short against South Charlotte and fell 37-26. The Knights were down 37-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Charlotte Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabby Eboboko, who posted eight points, and Grace Clark, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Ravenscroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Deep Creek, falling 53-28. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 211th in North Carolina, while the Hornets are ranked 35th in Virginia).

Ravenscroft's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Charlotte Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Charlotte Christian suffered a grim 57-31 defeat to Ravenscroft when the teams last played back in February. Can Charlotte Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
