Basketball Recap: New York School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

New York School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 54-39 to Non Varsity Opponent. Sadly, that's the sixth time they've come up short against the Golden Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-28 last Thursday.

Despite the defeat, New York School for the Deaf saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Arturo Dominguez-Fermin posted 22 points. That was a full 56.4% of New York School for the Deaf's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

New York School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

New York School for the Deaf has already played their next contest, a 52-47 win against Varsity Opponent on the 4th. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-40 defeat against Kenai Central on the 31st.
