Soccer Recap: Hughson Gets the Win

On Tuesday, the Hughson Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Hilmar Yellowjackets.

Diego Medina and Luis Moreno scored both of Hughson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Hughson's win bumped their record up to 5-10-2. As for Hilmar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-2.

Hughson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ripon Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Hilmar, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Ripon on the 16th.
