            Baseball Preview: Clarion-Limestone Lions vs. Moniteau Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            For the first time this season, Clarion-Limestone will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to  challenge the Moniteau Warriors  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Clarion-Limestone is coming into the  contest on  a  four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Clarion-Limestone didn't have quite enough to beat Brockway and fell  2-1.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Moniteau). Everything went their way against North Clarion on Thursday as they made off with  a  12-0 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Carson Minnear looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side, Moniteau got a  massive  performance out of  Dawson Cook, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  Cook a new career-high.  Derrik Creedon-Moyer was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Clarion-Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Moniteau,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Clarion-Limestone came out on top in a nail-biter against Moniteau in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024, sneaking past  1-0. Will the Lions repeat their success,  or do  the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
