Basketball Recap: Jackson Academy Takes a Loss

Jackson Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Snook Christian Academy Eagles 55-25. Jackson Academy was not able to make up for their defeat to Snook Christian Academy from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Snook Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Pierce, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 15 points and five steals. Pierce is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Micah Brunson was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Jackson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Snook Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Academy will face off against Escambia Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Escambia Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Jackson Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Snook Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
