After a string of three wins, Upper Cape Cod RVT's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Avon Panthers by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since December 27, 2023.

Thomas Edwards was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds for Avon. Edwards' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Travis Guillaume was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Upper Cape Cod RVT's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Avon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

When Upper Cape Cod RVT and Avon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Upper Cape Cod RVT will challenge Blue Hills RVT and their three-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Cape Cod RVT will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Avon will try to stop Westport's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
