Softball Preview: Monticello Buckaroo vs. Altamont Longhorns        
        
		
            
 After six games on the road, Monticello is heading back home. They will take on the Altamont Longhorns at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Monticello hasn't scored more than one runs for six games straight, a trend the  team is eager to reverse.
 Last Thursday, Monticello suffered a  rough 17-1 defeat at the hands of Grand County.
 Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madi Snyder, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Meanwhile,  Altamont unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak last Thursday. They fell just short of South Summit by a score of  5-4. Altamont has not had much luck with South Summit recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
  Hadley Mecham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Lacie Long, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Altamont, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 7-2.
