Soccer Recap: Smoky Mountain Comes Up Short

The matchup between Smoky Mountain and Franklin on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Mustangs came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-2. Smoky Mountain were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Smoky Mountain dropped their record down to 11-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Franklin, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10-1.

Coincidentally, Smoky Mountain and Franklin will both be playing West Henderson the next time they take the pitch. The Mustangs will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
