Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Hope vs. North Kingstown + How To Watch

The Mt. Hope Huskies will head out on the road to take on the North Kingstown Skippers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mt. Hope comes in on four and North Kingstown on nine.

Mt. Hope took an eight-goal loss the last time they faced off against La Salle Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies won by a goal and slipped past the Rams 3-2.

Thea Jackson and Sara Nencka scored all three of Mt. Hope's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, North Kingstown faced Smithfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Skippers were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Sentinels. North Kingstown's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Mt. Hope's win bumped their record up to 9-2-2. As for North Kingstown, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Mt. Hope came out on top in a nail-biter against North Kingstown in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
