Volleyball Recap: Gilroy Beats Willow Glen for Their Third Straight Win

Gilroy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Willow Glen Rams. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Rams on October 2nd, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Gilroy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-14, 15-13.

Sienna Schwinges paced Gilroy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Schwinges got some help from Bella Rodrigo and her 24 assists. Rodrigo also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ariadna Urias, each putting up four.

Gilroy's record now sits at 15-11. As for Willow Glen, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.

As of now, neither Gilroy nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
