Baseball Game Preview: Sisters Outlaws vs. La Pine Hawks

For the first time this season, Sisters will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the La Pine Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sisters' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so La Pine's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Sisters' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Burns as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Outlaws have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, La Pine fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Umpqua Valley Christian on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 3-2. The Hawks have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

La Pine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davey Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

La Pine now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sisters, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything went Sisters' way against La Pine when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Sisters made off with a 10-1 victory. Do the Outlaws have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
