Baseball Game Preview: Western Harnett Eagles vs. Westover Wolverines

Western Harnett is a perfect 7-0 against Westover since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Westover took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Western Harnett, who comes in off a win.

Western Harnett is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 25-4 margin over E.E. Smith on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Golden Bulls: they've now won seven in a row.

Lawton Hickman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
