Basketball Game Preview: Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue vs. Cimarron Rams

The Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue will head out to square off against the Cimarron Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Roy/Mosquero sitting on 15 straight wins and Cimarron on six.

Last Tuesday, Roy/Mosquero humbled New Mexico School for the Deaf with a 63-24 victory. The Blue/Lady Blue have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cimarron took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 81-49 victory over Wagon Mound. The Rams pushed the score to 74-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

Cimarron's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points over those games. As for Roy/Mosquero, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Roy/Mosquero didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cimarron in their previous matchup on February 4th, but they still walked away with a 36-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roy/Mosquero since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
