Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the DaVinci Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Lutheran ultimately came up short, they really made DaVinci work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 35-33, 24-26, 20-25, 15-12.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for DaVinci, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season.

Lutheran will take on Faith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DaVinci, they will face off against Hill Country Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
