Basketball Recap: Blake Green's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Robinson over Sullivan

Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 73-56 fall against the Sullivan Golden Arrows. The Maroons were probably out for revenge after losing 60-42 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Robinson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Green, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cruz Dunlap, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Sullivan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Bock out in front who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points along with four blocks and three steals. Bock's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Paul Ridgway was another key player, going 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points and five steals.

Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Sullivan, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Robinson has already played their next match, a 78-42 defeat against Richland County on the 25th. As for Sullivan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-23 win against White River Valley on the 25th.
