Recap: Whale Branch Warriors vs. Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders
It was a good run, but The Whale Branch Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between Whale Branch and Bamberg-Ehrhardt wasn't particularly close, with Whale Branch falling 28-10. The low total for Whale Branch limited their streak of high-flying scores to seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Whale Branch saw an underclassman step up: Jermon Bowers rushed for 93 yards on only eight carries.
Whale Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
Lakeview will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Whale Branch at 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
