Drury waltzed into their match on Sunday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mount Everett Regional Eagles a 4-0 shutout. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five contests.

Lucas Rylander was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Noah Arnold was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Jake McAllister also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Drury's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Everett Regional, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.

As of now, neither Drury nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
