Basketball Recap: Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes vs. Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots        
        
		
            
 The Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes lost against the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda took a  65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda has not had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
 When it comes to explaining why Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Logan Hattendorf. Despite the final result, he  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and ten  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tim Salentiny, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds.
 Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda has  been struggling recently as they've  lost 11 of their last 13 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Hills-Beaver Creek, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda will  challenge the Flying Dutchmen at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Edgerton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 9. As for Hills-Beaver Creek, they and the Cardinals will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Luverne knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matches -- so hopefully the Patriots like a good challenge.
