Having struggled with six losses in a row, Mission Valley finally turned things around against Cair Paravel on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Lions out 2-1.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mission Valley who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-18.
Meanwhile, Lyndon came up short against Iola on Saturday and fell 2-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
