Baseball Game Preview: Simsboro Tigers vs. Castor Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.

On Wednesday, Simsboro came up short against Choudrant and fell 7-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chris Harrell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Castor and Calvin, and Castor kept the tradition alive. Castor skirted past Calvin 10-8.

Castor's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Simsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1.

Everything went Simsboro's way against Castor in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Simsboro made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Simsboro since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
