Basketball Game Preview: Beekman Charter Tigers vs. Ferriday Trojans

Beekman Charter is 0-9 against Ferriday since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Beekman Charter Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Ferriday Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Beekman Charter had to suffer through a 64-16 loss at the hands of Mangham. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Dragons are ranked 142nd).

Meanwhile, Ferriday was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Oak Grove, falling 59-25.

Ferriday's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Beekman Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-18.

Beekman Charter came up short against Ferriday in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 48-36. Can Beekman Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
