On Friday, Apache were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 22-28 to Mangum. The loss was a vexing one since Apache were expected to win based on their state ranking.

The loss dropped Apache back to even at 1-1. The win bumped Mangum's record up to 1-2.

Apache are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Healdton next week at 7:30 PM. As for Mangum, they will face off against Hollis.
