Basketball Game Preview: Palmetto Panthers vs. Central Rockets + How To Watch

The Palmetto Panthers will face off against the Central Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Palmetto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Palmetto managed to slip by Columbus the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Explorers on Friday, falling 93-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Palmetto's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sebastian Madera, who went 10-for-17 en route to 25 points and six boards, and Jaiden Horton, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 21 points. Madera is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Corey Gellineau, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) and fell 63-31. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-21.

Palmetto will need to focus on slowing down Robert Kramer, one of several Central players who made an impact when they last played. He earned 17 points and eight rebounds. Marvel Burgess was another key player, putting up two points and 12 boards.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Palmetto, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
