Basketball Recap: Beaver Dam Comes Up Short

Beaver Dam was the 45-27 winner over Liberty Baptist Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beaver Dam Diamondback took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Baptist Academy Knights on Thursday. The Diamondback just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Liberty Baptist Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Delgado, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 21 boards. Delgado is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Hernandez, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals.

Beaver Dam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, their record now sits at 7-3.

Beaver Dam won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fredonia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Beaver Dam is facing Fredonia at the right time seeing as Fredonia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they will host Sandy Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
