Basketball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

Sycamore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Kaneland Knights and fell 57-29. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Knights are ranked 78th).

Sycamore's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Kaneland, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kaneland, they and LaSalle-Peru will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
