Preview: Spring Lions vs. Eisenhower Eagles
Spring is 8-1 against Eisenhower since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Spring Lions will look to defend their home field against the Eisenhower Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Spring suffered a rough 44-24 defeat at the hands of Nimitz. Spring has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Spring saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Delonte Henderson, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Ahran Ogbor, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Eisenhower at home against Aldine last Thursday as the team secured a 55-7 victory.
Spring now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Eisenhower, their win was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 3-6.
Spring came up short against Eisenhower when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 25-16. Will Spring have more luck at home instead of on the road?
