Softball Game Preview: Park View Patriots vs. Freedom Eagles

The Park View Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Freedom Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Park View lost 26-9 to Freedom on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

For Freedom's part, Kailyn Lopez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six stolen bases, and seven RBI. Those six stolen bases gave Lopez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Powell, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with seven stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Park View, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
