Softball Recap: Dexter Tigers vs. Orono Riots

Dexter came out on top against Orono on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Tigers walked away with a 6-2 win over the Riots. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Riots, too.

Claire Fogler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dexter's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Abagail Trafton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Trafton has hit this season.
