South Pointe is 8-2 against Rock Hill since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Stallions will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
South Pointe is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Fort Mill: they outscored them in every quarter. The Stallions put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp 71-46 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won seven in a row.

South Pointe relied on the efforts of JaNyia Cunningham, who dropped a double-double with 35 points and 17 rebounds, and Kaleigh Lucas, who dropped a triple-double with 18 points, ten assists, and ten steals. Lucas has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trayln Phillips, who posted seven points and five steals.
South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rock Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Chester 61-20 on Wednesday. The Bearcats pushed the score to 55-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cyclones had no chance of recovering from.
South Pointe better keep an eye on Chloe Hudson. She was instrumental in Rock Hill's win, putting up 14 points and three steals. Lilley Dean was another key player, posting five points.
South Pointe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rock Hill, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Pointe has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Rock Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
