Basketball Recap: Make It 21 in a Row for Springfield Renaissance

Springfield Renaissance put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Drury Blue Devils 65-45. Springfield Renaissance has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Springfield Renaissance to victory were Zi'Yan Wallace and Sy'Nye Baker. Wallace dropped a double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds, while Baker posted 16 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. What's more, Baker also posted a 36% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zh'Nai Wallace, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

Springfield Renaissance's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-0. As for Drury, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Springfield Renaissance will take on Lenox Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Springfield Renaissance's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Lenox Memorial's offense will have their work cut out for them. Drury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
