Soccer Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Economedes Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Jaguars are ranked 23rd).

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Economedes, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Coming up, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face off against Edinburg North at 5:30 p.m. on March 7th. As for Economedes, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Economedes take on the Edinburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edinburg's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
