Baseball Recap: Dillon Christian Comes Up Short

Dillon Christian managed to slip by Marlboro Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Dillon Christian Warriors lost 15-4 to the Marlboro Academy Dragons on Monday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Jackson Outlar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Dillon Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Marlboro Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.

Looking ahead, Dillon Christian will take on Pee Dee Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Dillon Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Marlboro Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st.
