Champion kept a clean sheet against Jackson-Milton on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bluejays. Given Champion's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Jackson-Milton are ranked 544th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyson Mickel was the driving force of Champion's attack as he scored both of Champion's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Champion's victory bumped their record up to 13-0-1. As for Jackson-Milton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Champion will welcome Newton Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Champion will need to watch out since Newton Falls have now posted at least four goals in their last four matches. As for Jackson-Milton, they will host Lordstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lordstown's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
