Basketball Recap: Stewart County Takes a Loss

Stewart County entered their contest against Creek Wood on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stewart County Rebels fell to the Creek Wood Red Hawks 41-36. The Rebels lost against the Red Hawks in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-27 score last time.

Stewart County suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 14-2. As for Creek Wood, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Stewart County and Creek Wood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Stewart County will take on Gleason at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday up 167 places (90 vs. 257). Similarly, Creek Wood (ranked 107th) will meet Fairview (ranked 322nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
