South Side is 0-5 against Neshannock since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
South Side barely beat Northgate the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Flames 63-13 on Friday. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

It was another big night for Andrew Corfield, who rushed for 131 yards and two scores on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Thorn Johnson was in the mix too, providing South Side with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Side was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 435 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 181 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Neshannock humbled Burgettstown with a 34-7 victory. Considering the Lancers have won four games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Neshannock's win came from a few key players South Side will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Anthony Eakin, who rushed for 146 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Jino Mozzocio was another key player, rushing for 55 yards and a pair of scores.
Neshannock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joey Dimuccio and Brady Frasso.
South Side's record is now 6-1. As for Neshannock, their record now sits at 5-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Corfield and Eakin. Corfield just won't slow down this season and has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 106.4 rushing yards per game. Eakin has been a dominant force too and has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 117.5 rushing yards per game.
South Side couldn't quite finish off Neshannock in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 21-19. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mozzocio, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 115 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Now that the Rams know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
