Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region I District 1 this week, Chapin beat El Paso 49-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.

Seth Gonzales threw for 350 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Gonzales put up the best numbers through the air as Chapin defeated the Tigers. Gonzales' favorite target this week was Jaylan Addison, who caught 4 passes for 175 yards.

Rene Hernandez's team's Gonzales and Addison have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Gonzales has thrown for 2,025 yards this season, while Addison has 44 catches for 788 yards. Ricky Olivas from Austin leads the league in rushing with 1,126 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Chapin takes on the Rockets. The Huskies' offense has recorded 275 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Irvin has permitted only 74 on the year.

Chapin's Collin Bailey is a mere 10 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 101 carries Bailey has accumulated 990 yard this year.

Next week's game between the Huskies and the Rockets will feature a good passing match up as Gonzales will test his arm against Newton's defensive ability.

A big matchup in 4A Region I District 1 this week will be when Irvin takes on Chapin. At the moment, the Rockets are in first, while the Huskies are in fourth.
