Volleyball Recap: Dougherty Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dougherty Valley lost against Carondelet back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-4.

Carondelet can attribute much of their success to Isabella Vertudez, who had 29 assists. That's the most assists Vertudez has posted since back in August of 2024. Claire Cassidy also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Dougherty Valley now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Carondelet, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Dougherty Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against San Ramon Valley on the 9th. As for Carondelet, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Monte Vista on the 9th.
