Softball Recap: Shelby Valley's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ballard Memorial, Shelby Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the East Ridge Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 last Tuesday.

Shelby Valley's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-12. As for East Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Shelby Valley will take on Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Betsy Layne on the 29th.
