Basketball Game Preview: Fremont Eagles vs. Central Noble Cougars

Fremont hasn't had much luck against Central Noble recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Fremont Eagles will welcome the Central Noble Cougars at 7:30 p.m.

Fremont is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Goshen, falling 59-36. The matchup was a close 19-17 at the break, but unfortunately for the Eagles it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Central Noble came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-49 W against the Minutemen.

Central Noble's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Fremont was able to grind out a solid victory over Central Noble when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 64-55. Will Fremont repeat their success, or does Central Noble have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
