Volleyball Recap: Manav Shankar Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat North Farmington

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Adams walked away with it. They blew past the North Farmington Raiders 3-0 on Wednesday. The Highlanders not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 3-0).

While Adams won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 26-24.

Adams' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manav Shankar, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Shankar has posted since back in April.

Adams is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10-3 record this season. As for North Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

As of now, neither Adams nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
