Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mt. Pleasant pushed their score to 72 the last time they played Shea, but on Wednesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Mt. Pleasant Kilties took a 33-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shea Raiders. The contest marked the Kilties' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Shea, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Mt. Pleasant will be playing in front of their home fans against Westerly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westerly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Mt. Pleasant likes a good challenge. As for Shea, they are taking a road trip to take on Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shea is facing Smithfield at the right time seeing as Smithfield is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
