Volleyball Game Preview: Freeport Pretzels vs. Harlem Huskies

The Freeport Pretzels are taking a road trip to square off against the Harlem Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Freeport is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Freeport came up short against Hononegah and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13.

Guilford typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Harlem proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Huskies have posted since March 29th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Harlem got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-27, 30-28.

Harlem is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Freeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Freeport couldn't quite get it done against Harlem in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Pretzels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
