Volleyball Recap: Lanier Finds Home Court Redemption Against Dunwoody

There's no place like home for Lanier, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Dunwoody Wildcats on Tuesday. The Longhorns have beaten the Wildcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

The win didn't come easy: Dunwoody scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Brooklyn Surles paced Lanier's offense, picking up 11 kills. Surles got some help from Addy Gosselin and her 27 assists. Kaziah Vaughn controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The victory got Lanier back to even at 5-5.

Coincidentally, Lanier and Dunwoody will both be playing Mill Creek the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
